Who are you?
Hello, I'm Ian O'Dea. I'm from Chicago, Illinois, and I build websites. Specifically, I work on design and front-end development (what users see), which fuels my passion for finding creative solutions to dilemmas.
Since September of 2008, I've been working as a Multimedia Intern on the Education and Public Outreach team for the NASA IBEX Project at the Adler Planetarium. Within this position, I have been given the opportunity to research, develop, and implement various web software (including image galleries and data collection systems). I have also been given the opportunity to edit and even create original content for the IBEX website, our informal education initiatives, and our formal data products.
As of November 2009, I have had the honor of being one of the first ten members of the RedEye Royalty, a group of social media-savvy fans of the local RedEye Newspaper distributed by the Tribune Company. This group, hand picked by RedEye's online editors, is at the forefront of the RedEye online community, and gives us the ability to run a community based section of their online presence. It is a great honor to be one of its first members, and I endeavor to make the RedEye Royalty as relevant as possible.
